MARCH IS NATIONAL MEALS ON WHEELS MONTH
The Twin Falls Senior Center is celebrating National Meals on Wheels Month in March. During the month the Center would like to help the community understand the importance of the Meals on Wheels program. The Center delivered 53,827 meals to home bound Seniors in Twin Falls in 2016. The demand and need is growing on a daily basis. The Center has asked several Twin Falls City Council and TF County Commissioners to participate with the delivery between March 20-24th. VOLUNTEER FAIR – MAR 29, 2017 – For Serving Senior NEEDS – Wednesday @ 10:00am -1:00 pm
The Twin Falls Senior Center along with Idaho Home Health & Hospice is sponsoring a Volunteer Fair to find volunteers who can help serve Seniors. If you are interested in Volunteering and want to help Seniors this is your opportunity to visit with the different agencies who need volunteers to help. Representatives from Idaho Home Health & Hospice, AARP tax-aide, SHIBA, Idaho Food Bank, Interlink Caregivers, Office on Aging, and the Twin Falls Senior Center will be on hand to explain their services and the need for more volunteers. This is a great opportunity to visit will all the agencies in one place. There will be a variety of prizes for those who attend the event.
Volunteer Meal Delivery Drivers NEEDED – We can’t do it without you!
The Twin Falls Senior Center needs your HELP. Drivers are Urgently needed to deliver meals to home bound seniors in Twin Falls – Monday through Friday. ROUTES take an hour or less to complete. Your commitment is based on your availability. You must be 18 years of age; have your own car; proof of liability insurance; and background check. Drivers receive a 53.5 cents a mile fuel reimbursement. This opportunity to serve will be Self-Rewarding & Life Changing. Please help us serve the community one heart at a time. Financial Donations NEEDED
The Twin Falls Senior Center is a 501 (c) 3 seeking financial donations to help feed home bound seniors. The Twin Falls Senior Center is dedicated to serve all Seniors in need of food. Many Seniors over the age of 60 are now facing food insecurity in our community. Please help the Center feed your neighbor, family member, or friend. Donations may be mailed to the PO Box 23, Twin Falls, Idaho 83303 or be dropped off at the Center located at 530 Shoshone Street W, Twin Falls. All donations are tax deductible.
